Frequently Asked Questions

What is arm.ID.illo bandz?
The newest, must-have accessory for kids, the arm.ID.illo bandz™ is a fashionable, adjustable bright orange bracelet. Made of waterproof, durable, eco-friendly rubber, the band is designed with a series of holes punched through the center all the way down length of the band. The holes are meant to hold round buttons (called pupz™) that are pre-printed with the numbers 0 through 9 on them. The idea is for parents to use the pupz™ to punch in the best contact number for the child and secure the bracelet to their child’s wrist by snapping the large white logo button located at one end of the bracelet into the any hole on the band. It’s that easy. No matter where your child goes, or who he/she is with, they are only a phone call away should they get separated from their guardian.

Why is it so important that my child wear an ID bracelet?
Research has shown that over 90% of families experience a lost child incident at some point, which means 7 out of 10 kids get lost at least once. In fact, over 2000 kids get lost every day – they get on the wrong school bus, they get off at the wrong stop, they wait in the wrong place to be picked up after an activity like a music lesson or they just wander off led by their curiosity – and these numbers are based on everyday life. Add the fact that today’s parents are exposing their children to art, culture, education and sports more than ever. They take their children everywhere with them these days – concerts, music & art festivals, museums, etc. They even take them on more trips, bringing them to airports, on cruise ships and to family resorts. Unfortunately, all these activities create more opportunities for a child to get lost. No parent means to lose a child, it just happens sometimes. Knowing your child is wearing an arm.ID.illo bandz™ can make whoever is caring for your child feel more secure, and help your child feel more confident when out with you or others in crowds and public places.

How does it work?
Using the numbers provided in the package, you put your cell phone number onto the band. You put the bracelet on your child. If your child gets lost your cell phone number is on them. they can ask an adult for help. Using their own cell phone, the adult can call you to let you know they have found your child, and to help you reunite with your child.

What happens if I'm out and my child gets lost?
If they are wearing the bracelet, your cell number is on them. Hopefully, you have told or reminded your child that your cell phone number can be found on their bracelet. Your child can simply ask and adult to call you and let you know where they are.

What if I am not the person who is taking my child to the amusement park? Do I have to buy another bracelet for each adult that my child might go out with?
Absolutely not. We understand that you might take your child one day, Aunt Gracie might take them another, their teacher on yet another day. The beauty of the arm.ID.illo bandz™ system is that you get 40 numbers in the package.

What comes in the arm.ID.illo bandz™ product purchase?

What is a pup (or pupz)?
A pup is what we call the little buckles or badges that fit into the holes on the bracelet. we call them pupz because baby armadillos are called pups.

What is the Safe Kidz Network?
arm.ID.illo bandz™ has launched a nationwide campaign designed to educate grown-ups to recognize the bright orange bracelet as a sign concerned citizens and parents to reach out if a child looks lost. The campaign promotes awareness of the bandz and encourages individuals to take the time to make sure a grown-up is connected to a child if they spot a child wearing one.

The activities on our Safe Kids Network™ website will also increase the effectiveness of the arm.ID.illo bandz™. Interactive games will teach children how wearing the bandz will get them the help they need to find their parents, while fun videos will educate kids about how to stay safe when they get lost.

We’ve been testing the effectiveness of the bracelet in a variety of environments and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Thus, we can safely say that the outcome of your child wearing an arm.ID.illo bandz™ ensures that you will be reunited with your child more quickly than you ever thought possible, usually within 10-15 minutes.
